- Provide technical guidance and innovation for timely resolution of queries and issues
- Design, develop, and implement engineering solutions while ensuring technical accuracy and quality
- Identify learning and development needs and mentor less experienced team members
- Support EDL Operations with the safe and timely resolution of issues
- Implement Electrical engineering standards and technical documentation
- Certify schemes as a registered professional engineer as required
- Collaborate with team members to achieve team objectives
- Enhance EDL’s Electrical capability by improving existing processes and staying updated with industry trends
- Ensure personal and others’ health and safety through workplace health and safety obligations
- Support and comply with Company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Company

Requirements

- Washington Accord recognised degree in Electrical Engineering
- Chartered Member of Engineers Australia (CPEng)
- Member of the Board Professional Engineers Queensland (RPEQ) or working towards this
- 10 years’ experience in the Electrical Engineering field
- Understanding of safety principles in design with a core emphasis on effective risk management
- Experience with heavy industry (e.g., mining, power generation, oil & gas) would be an advantage
- Experience facilitating design and project reviews, including HAZOP, HAZID,



LOPA and safety reviews desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Interest in and ability to continue personal leadership growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver consistent results under time pressure
