Salary: $36.00 - $39.00 per hour (casual rate) + Superannuation + NFP salary packaging perks

Employment Status: Casual (Hours range from 6am-6pm Monday to Friday - No late nights!!)

genU is looking for a skilled and reliable Casual Chef to join our hospitality team. This is a hands-on role where you'll prepare quality food, support a diverse workforce and contribute to one of Geelong's largest production kitchens, while enjoying regular ongoing shifts and variety across multiple sites.

What you'll do

n

n
- Prepare high-quality meals and food products in our large-scale production kitchen
n
- Support and mentor employees of varying abilities in a positive team environment
n
- Assist with menu development, food preparation and stock control
n
- Maintain food safety, quality and hygiene standards at all times
n

n

What you'll bring

n

n
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
- Availability to work across operational hours between 6:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday
n
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
n




- Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality customer service
n

n

(You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate, but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.)

Bonus points for

- Previous experience in a production kitchen or catering workplace

- Front of house, café or customer service experience

- Experience with stock control and food ordering

This role is primarily based at genU's 800sqm production kitchen in North Geelong, with opportunities to work across our café sites in North, East and South Geelong.
