About The Role

n

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, managing, and supporting the IT infrastructure that underpins all internal and external services. This role requires a deep understanding of both on-premises and cloud environments, as well as expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. The successful candidate will also have experience working effectively with remote teams.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Design and implement scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions.
n
- Manage and maintain on-premises servers, networks, and cloud-based resources.
n
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep.
n
- Monitor system performance to ensure the reliability and availability of infrastructure.
n
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
n
- Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to integrate and optimise infrastructure.
n
- Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance protocols.
n
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams.
n
- Communicate effectively with remote team members to ensure seamless collaboration and project execution.
n
- Participate in regular virtual meetings and use collaboration tools to stay connected with the team.

The Successful Candidate Will Be An Experienced Self-starter With

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
n
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
n
- Strong knowledge of on-premise and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
n
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Bicep).
n
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM, Hyper‐V).
n
- Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
n
- Experience working with remote teams and using remote collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
n

Preferred Qualifications

n

n
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or similar.
n
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
n
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
n
