Arabic-Speaking Psychologist — Contractor

We are seeking a registered Arabic-speaking Psychologist to join our team on a contractor basis.

This role offers flexible working arrangements, including work-from-home options, ongoing clinical support and supervision, and the opportunity to provide culturally responsive psychological services across Medicare, WorkCover and CTP schemes.

Newly registered Psychologists are welcome to apply. Provisional registration is not accepted.

About the Role

You will provide evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention to individuals from Arabic-speaking backgrounds. You will support clients in a culturally safe, respectful and accessible manner, with the flexibility to provide services in Arabic and/or English.

The role also involves preparing professional reports, treatment documentation and letters of support in accordance with relevant Medicare, WorkCover and CTP requirements.

Ongoing clinical support and supervision will be available to support safe, ethical and high-quality clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide psychological services in Arabic and/or English — fluency in Arabic is mandatory
- Deliver evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop person-centred treatment plans
- Support clients to work towards meaningful treatment goals and actively participate in their sessions
- Prepare clear, accurate and timely clinical reports for Medicare, WorkCover and CTP matters
- Prepare letters of support for treatment, services and funding purposes where required
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with legal, ethical and professional requirements
- Collaborate appropriately with clients, families, carers, referrers and other relevant professionals




- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality and culturally responsive practice
- Participate in ongoing clinical supervision, professional development and quality improvement

Essential Requirements
- Current general registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist
- Arabic fluency is mandatory
- Ability to communicate professionally in both Arabic and English
- Newly registered Psychologists are welcome to apply
- Provisional Psychologist registration is not accepted
- Experience working within, or willingness to work within, Medicare, WorkCover and CTP frameworks
- Robust written communication and professional report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
- Professional indemnity insurance, or willingness to obtain appropriate coverage
- Commitment to culturally responsive, ethical and person-centred psychological practice
