The Opportunity

As the Risk and Business Continuity Manager at the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure, you will lead the development, application, and monitoring of our risk management frameworks and systems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our department's compliance with ISO31000 and Treasurer's Instructions, while also providing authoritative advice and reports to senior stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and facilitate risk workshops, fostering a culture of proactive risk management.
- Collaborate with various teams to uplift our risk and business continuity frameworks.
- Monitor and review strategic, operational, and project risk management plans.
- Provide high-level advice and support on emerging risk trends and issues.
- Advocate for strategic initiatives that enhance our risk and business continuity outcomes.
About You
We are looking for a leader who:
- Possesses experience in enterprise-level risk management and business continuity strategies.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and negotiate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Has a contemporary knowledge of risk management and business continuity frameworks and their application.
- Is adept at preparing presentations, reports, and educational materials on complex matters.
- Excels in managing multiple projects concurrently, with a focus on continuous improvement.
There is currently one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.
