Shared Services SA (SSSA) deliver essential business and finance services across areas of payroll, accounts payable and receivable, tax and financial accounting, and business systems which enable government agencies to focus on serving the community. SSSA support daily operations to driving innovation, your work at Shared Services SA powers the public sector behind the scenes.
Why This Role Matters
As a Client Engagement Lead, you will build trusted partnerships with government and non-government client agencies, helping to deliver responsive high-quality payroll services. You will be the key point of contact, resolve complex issues,
drive service improvements and ensure client’s needs are understood and met. Through strong relationships and focus on continuous improvement, you will help deliver better outcomes across the South Australian Government.
In this role, you will:
- Build trusted relationships with client agencies and key stakeholders.
- Lead the resolution of complex payroll service issues and escalations.
- Provide high-quality advice on payroll service delivery, policy, legislation and compliance matters.
- Monitor service performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate service delivery across Payroll Services teams.
- Support business improvement, change initiatives and risk management activities.
Remuneration
ASO6 ($105,747- $111,854 p.a.) + 12% Superannuation

- Proven experience delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse range of clients.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to adapt to change, learn current systems and improve ways of working.
