Salesforce Platform Manager
Location: Melbourne or Sydney In office: 3/4 days per week
Package: Up to $210K base + 12.5% bonus + super The Prospect:
This is a ASX-Listed FinTech builds the infrastructure that helps Australians keep more of what they earn through pre-tax salary sacrifice. The platform simplifies complex financial admin for over 13,000 employers and nearly half a million users.
Salesforce sits at the centre of how the business runs, touching close to 800 users across the organisation.
The Role:
This isn't a coordination role. Plenty of CRM leadership jobs are really project management with a Salesforce label on them, chasing vendors, sitting in status meetings, reporting up rather than deciding anything. This one is different.
You'll own the Salesforce platform and roadmap outright: setting direction, making the calls on design and priorities, and being the person accountable when something breaks or a stakeholder pushes back on scope.
The platform carries real technical debt: over-customisation, inconsistent governance, competing priorities from the business.
The mandate is to fix that. Build governance, clean up the platform, reduce reactive firefighting, and put proper operating rhythms in place.
There's a significant AI component too. Einstein and Agentforce adoption is a genuine priority here, not a line item, and you'll be expected to drive it: evaluating where it fits, building responsible-use standards, and making sure governance keeps pace with deployment.
What You'll Do:
- Own the Salesforce platform and roadmap end to end, including architecture, governance and release decisions
- Lead and develop a team of 8-10 direct reports (circa 19 across the wider team), covering Salesforce developers, administrators and a technical lead, onshore and offshore
- Report into the Group Manager Engineering, with direct visibility to the CIO on progress and priorities
- Manage Salesforce partners and ISV relationships, holding vendors to account rather than relying on them to fill gaps
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Operations and executive stakeholders, translating business needs into platform solutions and pushing back where requirements don't hold up
- Drive platform maturity: sandbox strategy, org consolidation, licensing, security tooling (Shield, encryption, Health Check), CI/CD and test automation
- Evaluate and roll out Einstein AI and Agentforce capability, with governance built in from the start
- Build career pathways within the team, developing administrators toward senior and lead positions
What You Bring:
- 10+ years working across Salesforce administration or engineering, including 3+ years directly leading a team
- 5+ years in application support with ITIL process experience
- Multi-cloud experience across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud or Experience Cloud
- A track record of owning platform governance and roadmap, not just executing against someone else's
- Experience managing AppExchange products, ISV partners and Salesforce account/vendor relationships
- Certified Salesforce Administrator and Consultant
- An engineering or developer background: this role is hands-on and technical by nature, and platform leadership without that grounding won't cut it
- Hands-on experience with Einstein GPT or Agentforce
- Familiarity with AI-driven marketing automation or LLM-powered personalisation
- Background moving from an administrator or developer path into platform leadership, rather than a traditional EM route
