Are you an outgoing, confident person? Have you worked in a school, been on a P&C;, maybe a retired or part-time schoolteacher, or just a great all rounder in the office?
The Schools Fundraising Coordinator ensures that school events and incursions are well organised, safe, engaging and aligned with WFKA’s mission of providing life-changing mobility to children in developing countries.
Scope of Responsibility
Lead and coordinate the delivery of Wheel-a-thon events in primary schools.
Work toward securing an annual goal of 10 Wheel-a-thons (subject to team availability).
Recruit, onboard and support a small team of Wheel-a-thon volunteers to assist with school events and trailer logistics.
Liaise with principals, teachers and school administration to plan event dates, course layout, fundraising approach and key messaging.
Coordinate delivery, setup and return of the Wheel-a-thon trailer and equipment, ensuring wheelchairs and materials are event-ready.

- and operate within agreed safety and child-safe procedures.
Oversee event-day operations (or deputise this role as needed) to ensure activities run smoothly, safely and reflect WFKA’s values of dignity and inclusion.
Ensure schools understand and embrace the fundraising opportunity and impact message (e.g. every $300 raised gifts a wheelchair to a child).
Monitor participation levels, funds raised and opportunities to grow the program.
Ensure schools are acknowledged appropriately, including certificates and social media engagement in collaboration with office staff.
Provide regular communication and quarterly meetings (or as needed) for other volunteers, including the agenda and minutes. These should be saved on the WFKA server.
- Provide post-event summaries and monthly activity updates to the Fundraising Working Group (FWG).
This role works with and will be supported by the Fundraising & Communications Lead.

Time Required
This is a recent role. It requires a person with the flexibility to scale hours as needed ahead of a Wheel-a-thon or school event. Working at least 1-2 hours per week contacting schools and completing admin is recommended.
Attendance at bi-monthly Fundraising Working Group meetings required when possible.
This person could work from home much of time as the office is short of desk space. There would be times when attendance onsite in Wangara is needed.
