Darussalam is looking for friendly, reliable and customer-focused Seasonal Casual Retail Team Members to join our Queensland team for the upcoming holiday trading period.

Darussalam has been serving the Australian Muslim community for many years, providing a wide range of Islamic books, gifts, educational products and other items for individuals and families.

Our Queensland location also operates alongside Private Blends, creating a unique retail environment that brings together books, gifts, fragrances and other products under the one roof.

We're looking for people who enjoy working with customers, can contribute positively to a busy retail environment and understand the importance of providing respectful and welcoming service to our community.

The Role

As part of our seasonal team, you'll work alongside our existing retail team and support the store during the busy holiday trading period.

Your responsibilities will include

- Welcoming customers and providing friendly and helpful service
- Assisting customers with books, gifts, fragrances and other products across the store
- Processing customer purchases and supporting general retail operations
- Replenishing stock and maintaining store presentation
- Maintaining a respectful and professional store environment

About You

We're looking for people who:

- Are friendly,



approachable and confident engaging with customers
- Have an interest in books, Islamic products, fragrance and retail
- Are comfortable working within an Islamic retail environment and engaging with our diverse customer community
- Are respectful, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team
- Can work confidently in a fast-paced retail workplace
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Are available across the holiday trading period, including weekends, late-night trading and public holidays as required

Previous retail or customer service experience would be an advantage, however we're equally interested in people with the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

Knowledge or familiarity with Islamic books, products or the wider Muslim community would also be welcomed, but is not essential.

Seasonal Opportunity

These are casual seasonal positions supporting our Queensland store through the holiday trading period.

For the right people, there may also be opportunities to continue with Darussalam and the broader business beyond the seasonal period.
