Details: The Security and Intelligence Coordinator (who also has an appointment as a Deputy Sheriff) will engage with high level stakeholders to manage a range of security functions and services for the ACT Courts and Tribunal. You will provide frontline security advice and services to ensure a safe and secure courts and tribunal environment; manage serious incidents and return operations to normal in a timely manner following serious incidents. You will gather intelligence, undertake risk assessments and prepare and implement strategies to mitigate risks within the courts and tribunal environments.

You will also be responsible for providing security assurance for the appropriate management of information, operations and capabilities within the ACT Courts and Tribunal and providing advice on balancing security risk with organisational outcomes. You will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to integrate, synchronise and balance physical, procedural and energetic security strategies to effectively identify, assess and manage security.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

- You will need a demonstrated understanding of security and intelligence frameworks and a demonstrated understanding of how to undertake and implement risk assessments. Work within a court/custodial environment desirable.




- A Driver's licence Class C is essential.
- Computer literacy skills are relevant to this role as you will use several computer software programs to undertake the tasks of this role.
- Experience working in client facing or customer service roles is highly desirable.
- Deputy Sheriffs are required to wear a uniform and conform with dress code and personal appearance guidelines.

Note: This is a temporary position available 2 November 2026 until 30 April 2027 with the possibility of permanency. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
