Section Waiters / Supervisor

Koto Dining, located in Canberra’s prestigious Parliamentary Triangle, is looking for enthusiastic Section Waiters / Supervisor to join our front of house team.

This is a hands-on service role for someone who is confident running their own section while also taking on additional responsibility during service. You’ll work closely with the Restaurant Manager and senior team to maintain Koto’s high service standards, support the wider front of house team and help ensure each service runs smoothly.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, has strong attention to detail and is comfortable taking the lead when required.

Japanese dining experience is an advantage, but not essential. A strong service background, professionalism and the right attitude are most important.

What we’re looking for:

- Previous experience as a Section Waiter, Supervisor or in a similar senior front of house role

- Confidence managing a section and delivering attentive, professional service
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

- Strong communication and organisational skills




- The ability to lead by example and support junior members of the front of house team

- Good food and beverage knowledge, with an interest in developing further knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sake and wine
- A high level of attention to detail and presentation
- The ability to stay calm, organised and qualified during busy services

- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- A valid RSA and working rights in Australia
