About the role

Gallery X is a premium, appointment-only barbershop committed to delivering personalised grooming experiences through exceptional craftsmanship and client-focused service. Every appointment begins with a consultation to ensure each haircut reflects the client's individual style and identity. We are seeking an experienced Senior Barber to join our growing team, delivering exceptional barbering services and outstanding customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

- Consult with clients to assess their grooming requirements and provide advice on suitable hairstyles, beard styles, and hair care products.
- Cut, trim, taper, and style hair using scissors, clippers, razors, and other barbering tools.
- Perform traditional and modern barbering services, including fades, undercuts, line-ups, and precision haircuts.
- Shave, trim, shape, and maintain beards, moustaches, and sideburns using razors and grooming equipment.
- Provide hot towel shaves and facial grooming services where applicable.
- Shampoo, condition, and prepare clients' hair prior to cutting and styling services.
- Recommend appropriate hair and beard care products to clients and provide guidance on ongoing grooming and maintenance.
- Maintain high standards of customer service by ensuring clients receive skilled and personalised grooming services.
- Ensure all barbering tools, equipment, and workstations are cleaned, sanitised,



and maintained in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Manage client appointments, maintain service records, and process customer payments when required.

About you

- Certificate III in Barbering, Hairdressing, or an equivalent qualification in Barbering or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience as a Barber or in a related hairdressing/barbering role.
- Demonstrated skills in men's haircuts, fades, trims, styling and beard grooming.
- Ability to use and maintain professional barbering equipment, including clippers, trimmers, scissors, razors and other styling tools.
- Knowledge of current barbering techniques, hairstyles, trends and grooming practices.
- Ability to consult with clients and provide advice on suitable hairstyles, cuts and grooming services.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and professional approach.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality grooming services.
- Ability to maintain a clean, hygienic and organised work environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant health, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
