Role Description The Senior Civil Designer will lead and produce civil design documentation for land development and residential projects, including site layouts, stormwater systems, and erosion control measures. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed civil drawings and models, coordinating with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and soil testers, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and local authority requirements. The role involves reviewing and refining design concepts, checking the accuracy of plans, providing technical input during project meetings, and supporting junior designers with guidance and feedback.

Designer will also assist with design feasibility assessments, cost-effective solutions, and constructability reviews. This is a full time, on-site role based in the Greater Brisbane Area.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in civil engineering design, including subdivision and residential project layouts.
- Demonstrated experience in stormwater and stormwater management design, including drainage networks and detention systems.
- Ability to prepare and review detailed site plans, including grading, access, and service layouts.
- Knowledge of erosion control principles and design of practical mitigation measures.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil Design, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with civil design and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) and familiarity with local standards and guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide clear technical documentation.
- Previous experience in land development or residential infrastructure projects in Australia is highly regarded.
