Position Overview

Noble Ambition is a specialist fundraising and philanthropy consultancy working with ambitious for-purpose organisations and leaders across Australia. We work alongside Boards, CEOs and senior leadership teams to strengthen fundraising strategy, grow philanthropic income and build the capability and confidence required to achieve greater impact.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant with deep knowledge of philanthropy, fundraising and the not-for-profit and for-purpose sector to join our team.

This is a senior, hands-on consulting role combining strategic thinking, analysis, facilitation and high-quality client delivery. Working closely with our CEO and consulting team, you will lead and contribute to a range of strategic fundraising engagements, providing practical, evidence-based advice to Boards and Executive teams.

Key Responsibilities:1.

Client

Delivery

- Lead and deliver consulting engagements, working closely with the CEO and other consultants as well as independently across projects.
- Undertake strategic fundraising assessments, stakeholder interviews, research, analysis and development of fundraising strategies and recommendations.




- Develop major gifts strategies, campaign plans and other strategic fundraising and philanthropy advice tailored to each organisation.
- Design and facilitate workshops with Boards, CEOs and Executive teams, translating complex information and differing perspectives into clear strategic direction.
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and other client deliverables that are clear, practical and strategically focused.
- Provide outstanding client service and trusted advice throughout each engagement.

2. Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with CEOs, Board members, senior executives, philanthropists and other sector leaders.
- Confidently advise and challenge senior stakeholders, bringing strong judgement, sector knowledge and an external perspective.
- Work collaboratively with clients to understand their organisation, ambitions, opportunities and constraints and develop practical recommendations that can be implemented.
- Contribute to Noble Ambition initiatives and sector work, including She Gives, where relevant.

Consulting

Excellence and Business Development
- Manage multiple client engagements concurrently, maintaining a consistently high standard of thinking, delivery and client service.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of Noble Ambition’s consulting approaches, methodologies and service offerings.
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and develop new work aligned with Noble Ambition’s expertise, values and strategic direction.
- Contribute to business development, including prospective client conversations, proposal development and relationship building across the sector.
- Work collaboratively across a small,



high-performing team and contribute to the broader growth and success of Noble Ambition.

Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of philanthropy and the Australian not-for-profit / for-purpose sector is essential.
- Significant experience in fundraising strategy, with strong knowledge of major gifts and philanthropy.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice to CEOs, Boards and senior executives.
- Strong critical thinking, research and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex organisations and synthesise information into clear strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional written communication skills, including experience preparing strategic reports, assessments, recommendations and presentations for senior audiences.
- Highly developed verbal communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to lead conversations with senior and Board-level stakeholders.
- Solid commercial and professional judgement, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical implementation.
- Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements, competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of projects while contributing effectively within a small, collaborative team.
- A strong commitment to high-quality work, trusted client relationships and achieving meaningful outcomes for for-purpose organisations.
