About The Role

n

Our client, a leading skilled services firm in Brisbane CBD, is seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to join their team. You will work alongside Partners, Directors and Managers, overseeing engagements across a diverse and interesting client base including ASX listed companies, while taking on greater responsibility for team supervision and client relationships.

What You Will Be Doing

- Liaising directly with clients on audit and accounting queries
n
- Planning and overseeing audit engagements from start to finish
n
- Reviewing audit work papers prepared by junior and intermediate staff
n
- Drafting and reviewing annual financial reports
n
- Conducting statutory audits with general purpose financial reporting
n
- Supervising, coaching and developing junior audit team members
n
- Identifying risk areas and providing recommendations to clients
n
- Completing other assurance engagements as they arise
n
- Assisting Managers and Directors with ad hoc assignments
n

What We Are Looking For

n

n
- CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion), with a Commerce or Business degree majoring in Accounting
n
- Minimum 4 years' experience as an External Auditor, ideally within a mid tier or top tier firm
n
- Strong understanding of Australian Auditing Standards (ASA), Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and relevant legislation
n
- Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and meet deadlines
n
- Experience reviewing the work of junior staff
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Exceptional client facing skills with a proactive approach to managing expectations
n
- Above market salary package commensurate with experience
