About the Role
This Perth‑based Senior Electrical Engineer role provides technical leadership across project setup, procurement, pricing, documentation control and compliance. The position is suited to an engineer who is highly organised, detail‑focused and comfortable managing multiple packages, deliverables and supplier interfaces. The role is office‑based and does not include FIFO or site‑execution responsibilities; however, you will support site teams with technical advice and issue resolution when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and review electrical drawings including layouts, schematics, P&IDs;, cable schedules, termination details and equipment lists
- Manage package deliverables, documentation, drawing reviews and client approval submissions
- Develop and maintain procurement trackers, RFQs, pricing assessments, logistics coordination and material take‑offs
- Prepare and manage ITPs, MDRs, work packs, mark‑ups, redlines and as‑built documentation
- Support tendering and variations through material take‑offs,
technical queries and cost inputs
- Provide technical advice to project managers, estimators and site personnel
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and client specifications
- Coordinate with suppliers, internal stakeholders and project teams to maintain schedule and quality requirements
- Assist with project setup, methodologies and general project oversight
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reporting and quality records
Skills and Experience
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in mining, industrial or utilities project environments
- Strong capability in reviewing electrical drawings, scopes and technical documentation
- Proven experience in procurement support, pricing, RFQs, logistics coordination and material take‑offs
- High level of organisation, accuracy and documentation management
- Robust communication skills and ability to liaise with suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities - Working knowledge of Australian electrical standards
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with Candy (RIB CCS) or Microsoft Project is beneficial
