Role Description The Senior Estimator at Hateley Construct will be responsible for the pre construction success. You'll be involved early, working directly with architects, engineers and clients well before construction starts, and you'll own the numbers from first cost plan through to contract. This full-time, on-site role based in Seymour,

Qualifications

- Solid estimating and cost-planning skills, including quantity take-offs, tender preparation, and budget development for residential construction projects.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and standard office tools, with the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.




- Solid understanding of building methods, materials, and industry standards, particularly in custom homes and rural construction.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with designers, project managers, trades, suppliers, and clients.
- High attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
- Relevant experience in a senior or lead estimating role within residential construction; prior work in custom or rural builds is highly regarded.
- Formal qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, estimating, or a related discipline are preferred.
- Commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory practices and a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
