Role Description The Senior Finance Consultant (Ecommerce) remote role, full time or part time (for the right candidate). This role involves partnering with eCommerce and retail clients to provide strategic financial guidance, including developing growth plans, building three-way cashflow models, and optimizing profitability and margins. The consultant will assess cost structures, enhance operational efficiency, and design scalable finance processes and reporting frameworks.

Day-to-day responsibilities include advising on expansion feasibility, scenario planning, and leveraging automation and AI for improved reporting and decision-making.



The role requires direct collaboration with founders and cross-functional teams to set and monitor KPIs across marketing, product, customer experience, eCommerce, and operations.

Qualifications

- Strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, with experience in cashflow modelling, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
- Robust Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, build scenarios, and provide clear commercial insights.
- Consulting experience, including client advisory, stakeholder management, and the ability to tailor solutions to diverse business needs.
- Solid Accounting knowledge, including financial statements, reporting standards, and controls.
- Experience with eCommerce or retail business models, including revenue drivers, margin dynamics, and customer acquisition economics.
- Proficiency with finance and reporting tools, and familiarity with automation and AI-driven analytics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple client engagements, and thrive in a quick-paced, high-growth environment.
