Senior Planner – Utilities & Infrastructure - Up to $180,000 TFR
Core Talent are working with a leading utilities and infrastructure contractor who are continuing to grow their presence across Western Australia.
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join a growing project delivery team supporting a major network contract.
This is a hands-on planning role where you'll play an important part in making sure projects are properly planned, resourced and ready for delivery. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and field teams, coordinating everything from labour and materials through to permits, subcontractors and schedules.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for planning and coordinating a range of customer connection and infrastructure projects across Perth’s distribution network.
The role will suit someone who enjoys working in a rapid-paced environment, can stay ahead of competing priorities and is comfortable bringing structure to complex delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining project schedules and forecasts
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements
- Managing permits, approvals and planning requirements
- Working with operational teams to maximise crew utilisation
- Monitoring progress and identifying potential scheduling issues before they impact delivery
- Supporting and mentoring Planning Coordinators
- Working closely with Project Managers and Supervisors to keep projects moving
- Identifying opportunities to improve planning processes and project delivery
What We're Looking For
- We're interested in experienced planners who understand what it takes to deliver work in a complex operational environment.
- You may come from utilities, infrastructure, civilconstruction, maintenance, energy or another major project environment.
- Direct utilities experience would be advantageous.
- More importantly, you'll be organised, commercially aware, proactive and comfortable working with people at all levels. Attitude and team fit are important, as you'll be joining an established team where collaboration and communication are key.
- Strong scheduling and forecasting capability is essential, along with experience using relevant planning and reporting systems.
