About The Role
We are seeking three Senior Power Platform Software Engineers to join a government technology delivery team in Canberra. This is an opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of digital applications that support an organisation with a nationally important public service mission.
Working across Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure and modern software development technologies, you will take ownership of technical delivery from solution design through to implementation, testing and ongoing improvement.
The role combines hands-on full-stack development with technical leadership, making it well suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex business problems, working directly with stakeholders and contributing to a high-performing delivery team.
- Position: Senior Power Platform Software Engineer (Developer) x3
- Rate: $950-$1,050/day + Super
- Location: Canberra, ACT
- Working arrangement: Hybrid
- Start date: 5 October 2026
- Initial contract: 12 months
- Extension potential: Up to two additional 12-month extensions

Up to 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365.
- Build and enhance solutions across Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Pages.
- Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js.
- Deliver full-stack applications using C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL.
- Integrate front-end solutions with backend services, databases and cloud-based platforms.
- Develop and manage integrations using Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps and Power Automate.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable technical solutions.
- Contribute to solution architecture, application design patterns and reusable software components.
- Apply development standards, code quality practices and secure coding principles.
- Use Azure DevOps for source control, work tracking, build pipelines and continuous integration and delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and development planning.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging and performance optimisation.
- Support deployment, release management and troubleshooting across development, test and production environments.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, technical specialists and other delivery team members.
- Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with colleagues to strengthen team capability.
- Prepare technical documentation, development notes and support materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing applications, automate processes and enhance user experience.
- Contribute to emerging technology initiatives, including AI-enabled solutions and intelligent automation where relevant.
About You
- Senior software development experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform and Power Pages.
- Robust front-end development skills using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and Vue.js or similar frameworks.
- Proficient in C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps and Power Automate.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, development patterns and reusable components.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate within small, multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Experience providing technical guidance and contributing to high-quality software delivery.
- Exposure to AI, intelligent automation or Microsoft Copilot technologies is desirable.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure or AI will be highly regarded.
- Must hold or be able to obtain Australian Government Baseline security clearance.
- Canberra-based candidates strongly preferred, with hybrid working arrangements available.
- Must hold valid working rights in Australia for the duration of the engagement; sponsorship is not available, and applicants must have Australian citizenship.
