You will assist in making Queensland communities secure from violent extremism by translating strategic policy and operational plans into tangible frontline policing effects. This involves designing, developing, implementing and managing interagency counter violent extremism (CVE) projects in support of the Engagement and Diversion Program (EDP) achieving its objectives in delivering best practice CVE case management and community engagement.

The Core Capability Requirements For This Role Are

- Review and analyse strategic guidance, contemporary research, operational policy and frontline requirements to develop projects in support of frontline counter violent extremist case management.
- Lead the design, development and delivery of multiple interagency projects and capability development throughout project lifecycle in support of frontline CVE teams.
- Establish risk, resource and change management processes to maintain project scope, risk tolerances and budget.
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with third-party vendors, QPS and interagency stakeholders to manage project delivery and proactively identify and resolve emerging issues.
- Compile comprehensive project documentation in accordance with Queensland Government and QPS project management policies, procedures and governance requirements.
- Prepare and deliver written and verbal reports to QPS, Queensland Government and interagency senior executives regarding project progress, opportunities and outcomes.

Role Requirements Mandatory





- Possession of a current C class driver's licence.
- Applicants must achieve and maintain a national security clearance of Negative Vetting Level 1.
- Applicants must be aware that the application for a security clearance process can at times be invasive. Security vetting for the Prevention and Protection Group is undertaken by the Queensland Security Clearance Unit within the Security, Counter- Terrorism and Forensic Services Command, Queensland Police Service. - Applicants are advised that they will be required to undertake a psychological assessment to determine their suitability to perform these duties. If successful, applicants will also be required to undertake regular psychological assessments.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen.

Other

- This position involves driving of unmarked police vehicles.
- Duties may involve weekend and shift work. Shift penalties and overtime may apply.
- Ability to build rapport/communicate effectively with vulnerable individuals, diverse communities & key government and non-government stakeholders is essential.
- Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position, they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and sensitive nature.
