VALE Partners have been engaged by an industry leading Australian company to find a Senior QA Engineer for their Brisbane office. The business runs with the pace and ownership of a small team, while carrying the commercial backing and stability of an established global enterprise.

You'd be joining right as the engineering team of has reached a stage of maturity where dedicated QA ownership is the natural next step. This role has been created to lead that function from the ground up.

Role Overview

- Define and implement a QA strategy that scales alongside the product, treating the test automation suite as your own product to build, maintain, and evolve
- Design and maintain test plans, test suites, and automated tests using Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript within a .NET and Azure workplace, complemented by manual testing where it makes sense
- Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure quality objectives are understood and built into every release cycle
- Identify, track, and drive resolution of defects while contributing to continuous improvement of testing approaches, tools, and workflows across the Azure DevOps pipeline

What You'll Ideally Have

- An example of a time when you changed how software engineers thought of and approached quality in their SDLC. This is critical, please clearly highlight this in your resume.




- Experience across both manual testing and test automation within a Microsoft technology environment (.NET, Azure, SQL Server, Azure DevOps), including test case design, automation suite development, and release and regression testing
- A track record of building or significantly maturing QA capability within a team, rather than stepping into something already established
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworks, writing and maintaining test code in JavaScript or TypeScript
- A collaborative mindset paired with the confidence to advocate for quality outcomes and challenge constructively when standards are at risk
