We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate **Director of Banquet Operations** to lead our Events & Banquets team and deliver world-class event experiences that exceed expectations. **About the Role** As **Director of Banquet Operations** , you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of our Banquet and Events department, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational excellence, and strong commercial performance. Working closely with the Event Planning, Culinary, and Food & Beverage leadership teams, you will oversee the successful delivery of a diverse range of events while inspiring and developing a high-performing team culture. This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment and is passionate about creating unforgettable guest experiences. **Key Responsibilities** + Lead and manage the Banquet Operations team, ensuring service excellence across all events and functions. + Drive departmental performance through effective management of financial targets, labour costs, productivity, and guest satisfaction metrics. + Partner with the Events team to ensure seamless execution of conferences, weddings, gala dinners, and special events.



+ Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture through coaching, mentoring, and talent development. + Monitor and maintain compliance with all health, safety, food safety, and liquor licensing requirements, as well as IHG brand standards. + Oversee rostering, payroll management, workforce planning, and operational efficiencies. + Collaborate closely with leaders across Food & Beverage, Culinary, Rooms Division, and other departments to ensure exceptional event delivery. + Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience, drive innovation, and continuously improve service standards. + Support the Resort's Responsible Business initiatives, including environmental sustainability and community engagement programs. + Act as a visible and hands-on leader, ensuring every event reflects the luxury standards synonymous with the InterContinental brand. **What We're Looking For** To be successful in this role, you will bring: + A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field. + Minimum 4 years' leadership experience within banquets, events, food & beverage, or hotel operations. + Proven experience leading large teams within a luxury hotel, resort, conference, or events environment. + Robust commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue, profitability, and operational performance. + Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders. + Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills. + Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. + Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification. + Food Safety or Safe Food Handling certification.
