We’re looking for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join Slomoi Immerman Partners (SIP) in Melbourne. Why this role?

This is a strong opportunity for a senior tax professional who enjoys complex advisory work, trusted client relationships and team leadership. You will work closely with SIP’s Taxation Directors, take ownership of significant consulting engagements, guide less experienced team members and help shape consistent, high-quality tax consulting delivery.

What you’ll be doing

- Managing significant tax consulting engagements from scoping through to delivery
- Providing senior-level advice across structuring, transactions, tax planning and direct and indirect tax matters
- Leading client relationships and acting as a senior contact on tax consulting matters
- Supporting ATO engagement, reviews, objections and other compliance-related tax matters




- Reviewing technical work, advice and client communications prepared by other team members
- Coaching and developing tax consulting team members, including through delegation, feedback and technical guidance
- Working closely with Taxation Directors, referrers and broader client service teams

What we’re looking for

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce, law or a related discipline
- CA, CPA or CTA qualification preferred
- 10 years’ tax consulting experience in a professional services environment
- Demonstrated experience managing complex tax advisory matters and reviewing technical work
- Strong experience across areas such as business and group structuring, M&A; transactions, corporate tax, trust and private group tax issues, GST and other indirect taxes, and ATO engagement
- Confidence managing senior client conversations and building trusted relationships with clients, Directors, referrers and external advisers
- Experience coaching, supervising or developing team members
- Valid working rights in Australia
