We’re looking for a Senior Wills and Estates Solicitor with approximately 5 years PAE, including at least 3 years’ experience in Wills & Estates, to join our growing team in Rockhampton!

This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of your matters, build solid client and referrer relationships, and work alongside experienced practitioners who value collaboration, professional growth and exceptional client service.

You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own matters, develop your practice and mentor junior team members, while receiving ongoing support and mentoring from a Partner.

The opportunity You’ll take carriage of a broad range of Wills & Estates, succession planning and deceased estate matters,



with opportunities to develop your experience across business and commercial law.

You’ll work closely with clients to understand what matters to them, provide practical and strategic advice, and develop solutions that reflect their personal, family and business circumstances.

Your role will include

- Estate planning and succession matters
- Wills, testamentary trusts and enduring powers of attorney
- Complex estate planning and succession strategies
- Multi-generational transfers, trusts, partnerships and business structures
- Deceased estates, probate and ancillary applications
- Commercial and business transactions
- Commercial contracts and negotiations
- Commercial leases and Retail Shop Leases Act matters
- Loan documentation, security deeds, mortgages and assignments
- General commercial advice
- Building strong, long-term client and referrer relationships
- Managing WIP, billing and matter progression
- Delegating work and supporting junior team members
- Contributing to business development and continuous improvement

About you You’re an experienced solicitor who is confident working directly with clients, taking carriage of matters and exercising sound professional judgement.

You’ll bring

- Approximately 5 years PAE, including at least 3 years’ Wills & Estates experience
- Strong technical knowledge and professional judgement




- Experience managing matters with a high degree of autonomy
- Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills
- A genuine commitment to client service
- Confidence advising on complex estate planning and succession matters
- An interest in broadening your commercial and business law experience
- The ability to mentor, delegate and support others
- A proactive approach to relationship building and business development
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to professional standards and risk management
- A collaborative and positive approach to working with others
