About the role

You will lead the Service Departments across both Dandenong and Ringwood locations, taking responsibility for driving labour sales, gross profit and Service Department profitability. The role is predominantly based at Dandenong, where you will also be hands-on in the Service Advisor function. You will be required to regularly travel to Ringwood to lead the team, drive performance and ensure both dealerships operate to the same high standards.

This is a leadership role, but you won't be sitting in an office watching the workshop. You need to be comfortable moving between leading the business and working directly with customers.

Key responsibilities

- Driving labour sales, gross profit and Service Department profitability
- Maximising technician productivity, efficiency and workshop utilisation
- Managing workshop capacity, bookings and daily workflow
- Leading, coaching and holding technicians and service staff accountable
- Monitoring KPIs and taking action when performance is below target
- Improving customer retention and the overall service experience
- Managing warranty performance, quality control and manufacturer standards
- Working closely with Parts and Sales to maximise every customer opportunity




- Controlling costs and improving departmental performance
- Resolving customer issues quickly and professionally

About you

- Experienced Service Manager, Workshop Manager or senior Service Advisor with a proven record of improving dealership performance
- Understanding of workshop KPIs and how to improve them
- Knowledge of technician productivity and efficiency
- Understanding of labour sales and gross profit
- Knowledge of workshop utilisation and capacity management
- Understanding of customer retention
- Knowledge of warranty and manufacturer requirements
- Ability to lead a team and hold people accountable
- Motorcycle experience is highly regarded, but exceptional candidates from a high-performing automotive dealership workplace are equally welcome
- Commercially driven, decisive and prepared to take ownership
