Coastwide Community Care is looking for SIL Support Workers who believe a participant’s home should feel like a home, not a workplace or institution.

With the new SIL Practice Standards placing greater focus on participant choice, safeguarding, worker competency, consistency and individualised support, we are looking for people who want to deliver support properly.

We are looking for support workers who:

Respect participant choice, dignity and independence

Understand active support and doing with, not simply for

Follow support plans and participant-specific strategies consistently

Communicate clearly and complete accurate handovers and documentation

Recognise and report changes, risks or safeguarding concerns

Maintain strong professional boundaries

Are willing to learn, receive feedback and demonstrate competency

Understand that the participant’s home comes first

Experience in SIL or disability support is highly regarded, but attitude,



judgement and values matter just as much.

You must have:

- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- First Aid and CPR
- Drivers Licence
- Reliable insured vehicle
- Working rights.
