Complex projects, real backing - A career that can take you places.
- Genuinely complex work:no two projects, methodologies or challenges are the same.
- Yatala based HO/hybrid on-site: where you can make measurable impact and build relationships with key-stakeholders.
- A clear path up: hands-on mentoring, with ongoing development and room for you to shine!
About the role As Site Engineer, you'll be a key technical resource on site — working alongside Project Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors to develop the engineering methodologies, work packs and quality assurance that keep our projects safe, compliant and moving.
It's a role with real responsibility and real support, the kind of position where an engineer a few years into their career can step up, take ownership, and build serious momentum.
You'll bring solid engineering judgement, a problem-solving mindset and clear communication to help our operational teams deliver works to spec, on program and to standard.
What you'll be doing
- Create safe & healthy workplaces: champion HSEQ and embed safety and environmental controls into every methodology.
- Provide technical guidance: guide site teams, develop demolition and construction methodologies, sequences and staging plans, and interpret drawings, specs and contract documents.
- Plan the work: build and maintain work packs, coordinate permits, drawings, risk assessments and resources, and pressure-test constructability before boots hit the ground.
- Own quality & compliance: manage ITPs, inspections and engineering records, and ensure works meet specifications, standards and contractual requirements with minimal rework and NCRs.
- Manage technical risk: identify demolition, decommissioning and operational risks early, develop engineering controls, and escalate what matters.
- Coordinate on site: tomonitor progress, remove engineering constraints, and support efficient use of labour, plant and equipment.
- Support handover & improvement: compile close-out documentation, contribute to lessons-learned, and share best practice across the team.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Construction or related discipline).
- 2 - 3 years' engineering experience across demolition, remediation, industrial, commercial construction, mining or related projects.
- Experience in engineering planning, methodology development and work package preparation.
- A growing understanding of construction sequencing, demolition methodologies and technical risk management.
- Solid grasp of QA systems, engineering compliance and project documentation.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally on occasion (some early starts of 6.30am), getting close to major projects and key stakeholders whilst identifying areas where you can add measurable value.
- Current White Card and Driver's Licence.
Nice to have - exposure to major demolition,
remediation or industrial projects is advantageous - project scheduling software - contract and delivery framework know-how.
