Key Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, including the construction management plan, program and workplace relations management plan.
- Make recommendations for total subcontractor labour and supervision resources required for the project and the recruitment of construction workers employed directly by the business.
- Be a visible leader on site walks, addressing the project team at site meetings and engaging with stakeholders to address any non-conformances or issues.
- Communicate health and safety requirements to subcontractors and ensure they are included as a contractual clause in subcontracts.
- Support and promote a culture and agreed behaviours in HSE and Quality by setting clear standards and acting as a role model to others.
- Engage and coordinate with clients, superintendents, consultants and various stakeholders to ensure positive project progress, address concerns and communicate critical project updates.
- Ensure the subcontractors understand key milestones for the project and are motivated to achieve success and give them feedback on their performance and performance expectations monthly.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with building regulations, safety standards and environmental requirements and address any identified non-compliance issues promptly and efficiently.
- Coordinate the facilities, amenities and services on the site including deliveries, craneage, material handling, storage and site sheds.
- Provide leadership in risk management and identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key people informed.
- Managing workplace relations issues and implications and develop appropriate resolution.

- Demonstrated experience of managing fit out and refurbishment construction sites with proven success.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering or a related discipline.
