About the role

Lapoinya Meat Processors is seeking a reliable and experienced Slaughterman / Boner / Slicer to join our small team at our micro abattoir in the Wynyard area.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a small team and understands the importance of producing a quality product from start to finish.

You’ll play an important role in our day-to-day operations, helping us maintain the high standards our customers expect while ensuring their livestock is treated with care and respect.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who:

● Has previous experience in slaughtering, boning and/or meat processing.

● Takes pride in their workmanship and has a strong work ethic.

● Is reliable, punctual and committed to producing quality work.





● Has a strong understanding of animal welfare and treats customers’ livestock with care, respect and consideration.

● Understands the importance of hygiene, food safety and maintaining a clean, organised workplace.

● Has good communication and customer service skills.

● Can work effectively as part of a small team and follow workplace procedures and guidelines.

● Is able to work independently and take responsibility for their work.

Hours

Casual position – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Hours will vary depending on the workload for the week, but the days will remain the same.

Wynyard area, Tasmania.
