The Opportunity
Join our collaborative Agile squad as a Mid-Level Test Analyst to drive a shift-left quality culture across our e-commerce platform. You’ll partner with engineers, BAs, and Product Owners to shape requirements early, assess risk, and validate complex architectures across both B2C and B2B workflows. In this role, you will champion quality ownership by building robust test automation while applying targeted manual exploratory testing where it delivers the highest value.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Shift-Left Quality: Collaborate early with BAs, devs, and product teams to refine testable requirements, map out risks,
and embed quality into the initial design phase.
- Design Strategy & Test Suites: Define comprehensive test strategies, map out test data, and design traceable scenarios aligned with Agile delivery schedules.
- Build & Maintain Automation: Develop scalable automated test suites using the Test Pyramid approach, prioritizing API/service layers, integration testing, and critical UI end-to-end flows within CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute End-to-End Testing: Conduct system, integration, regression, UAT support, and live post-verification testing, ensuring complete documentation and clear evidence.
- Manage Defect Resolution: Identify, document, and triage defects alongside development teams, explicit risks, and communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- Core Testing Standards: Proven experience applying the Test Pyramid, risk-based testing principles, and a shift-left approach to catch defects early in the delivery lifecycle.
- Automation & CI/CD Expertise: Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test suites across API, integration, and UI layers embedded directly into modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Balanced Testing Execution: Ability to strategically balance test automation with targeted manual exploratory testing based on complexity, risk, and business value.
- E-Commerce Domain Knowledge:
Background in both B2C (storefronts, checkout, promotions) and B2B (supplier onboarding, bulk ordering, contract pricing) environments.
- Event-Driven & API Testing: Direct experience validating event-driven architectures, message queues, asynchronous workflows, and webhooks (payloads, triggers, retries, and error handling).
- Data Quality & ETL: Practical exposure to testing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to guarantee data integrity for business reporting and insights.
- Agile Collaboration: Strong communication skills with a track record of actively collaborating in cross-functional Agile squads to advocate for quality and triage defects effectively.
