About Fieldr
Fieldr is Software Co's construction, trade and field management platform designed to help growing businesses bring their operations together in one place.
From project and job management through to workforce management, scheduling, timesheets, quoting, site documentation, compliance, assets, invoicing and mobile field operations, Fieldr provides businesses with a combination of web and mobile applications to better manage their teams and operations.
But we don't believe every construction business operates the same way. Our approach is to first understand how a business actually works, identify where technology can improve its processes, and then configure, integrate and, where appropriate, customise Fieldr around those requirements.
We're looking for an experienced Solutions & Account Manager who can become the bridge between our customers and our product, design and engineering teams.
The Role
This is not a traditional Account Manager position.
You will work closely with prospective and existing Fieldr customers to understand how their businesses operate, identify their operational challenges and determine how Fieldr can best support them.
For new opportunities, you'll conduct detailed discovery sessions with business owners, directors, operations managers and other stakeholders to understand their existing systems, workflows and pain points.
You'll then work internally with our product and technical teams to configure and present tailored Fieldr demonstrations showing how the platform could work specifically within that customer's business.
Once a customer comes onboard, you'll continue to own the relationship — helping them implement and adopt Fieldr, coordinating configuration, integrations and customisation, and acting as their primary point of contact between their business and the Fieldr team.
Your objective is simple
Understand the customer's construction business well enough to become their internal advocate within Fieldr, and understand Fieldr well enough to become their technology adviser to the customer.
What You'll Do
Business Discovery & Solution Consulting
You'll lead detailed discovery conversations with prospective customers to understand:
- How their business operates from enquiry and quoting through to project delivery and invoicing
- How projects, jobs and field teams are currently managed
- Workforce scheduling, timesheets and labour management
- Site documentation, photos, drawings and communication
- Variations, purchase orders and subcontractor management
- Safety, compliance, inductions and site processes
- Plant, equipment and asset management
- Existing software, spreadsheets and manual processes
- Areas of duplicated administration and inefficient workflows
- Reporting and management visibility requirements
- Integrations with accounting and other business systems
- Opportunities where Fieldr could automate or simplify operations
You'll turn these conversations into clear business workflows and solution requirements that our product and engineering teams can act upon.
Tailored Fieldr Demonstrations
Rather than delivering generic software demonstrations, you'll help configure and present Fieldr around each prospective customer's operation.
You'll determine which modules and workflows matter most to the customer and demonstrate how Fieldr could improve the way their business operates.
You'll become highly knowledgeable across the Fieldr platform and capable of confidently presenting it to business owners, executives, operational teams and field staff.
Solution Design & Customisation
Construction businesses frequently have unique processes.
You'll help determine whether customer requirements can be addressed through:
- Existing Fieldr functionality
- Platform configuration
- Workflow changes
- Integrations
- Minor enhancements
- Custom development
- Future product roadmap opportunities
Where technical work is required, you'll work with our Product, Business Analysis and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into clearly defined solutions.
You don't need to be a software developer, but you should be comfortable discussing software, integrations, workflows, APIs and business systems.
Customer Onboarding & Account Management
Your involvement doesn't finish when the sale is completed.
You'll remain responsible for the customer relationship and help coordinate:
- Platform configuration
- Customer onboarding
- Data migration
- User setup and permissions
- Integrations
- Training
- Customisation requirements
- Product adoption
- Support escalation
- Enhancement requests
You'll become the customer's primary relationship within Fieldr and coordinate the appropriate internal resources whenever assistance is required.
Account Growth & Customer Success
As you develop a deeper understanding of each customer's operation, you'll proactively identify opportunities where Fieldr can deliver additional value through:
- Additional modules
- Additional users and teams
- Improved workflows
- Integrations
- Automation
- Custom development
- Recent Fieldr capabilities
The objective is to develop long-term relationships where Fieldr increasingly becomes a core operational platform for the customer's business.
About You
We're particularly interested in people who understand construction, trades, field services or construction technology.
You may currently be working in construction software, SaaS, ERP/business systems, implementation consulting, customer success, solutions consulting,
construction operations or project management.
Experience with construction or field-service platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, HammerTech, Buildertrend, Simpro, AroFlo, ServiceM8 or similar products would be highly regarded.
More important than any particular job title is your ability to sit down with a business owner and ask: "Walk me through how your business works from the moment you receive an opportunity through to completing the work and getting paid."
From there, you'll know how to keep asking the right questions.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally bring
- Experience within construction, trades, field services, construction technology or business software
- Strong consultative and discovery skills
- The ability to understand and map complex business processes
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Confidence working directly with business owners and senior stakeholders
- Strong technology aptitude
- Experience presenting or demonstrating software
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear product requirements
- Strong relationship and account-management skills
- Ability to coordinate effectively between customers, product teams and engineers
- A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach
You do not need to be a software engineer.
You do need to be genuinely curious about how businesses operate and capable of learning a sophisticated software platform deeply.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first few months, you'll be able to independently conduct detailed discovery sessions with construction businesses, understand their operational requirements, configure and deliver tailored Fieldr demonstrations, and confidently coordinate requirements with our internal product and engineering teams.
Over time, you'll own a portfolio of Fieldr customers and develop a detailed understanding of each business — helping them continuously improve how they use Fieldr as their organisation evolves.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to join Fieldr while we're building both the product and the customer organisation around it.
Rather than simply managing a portfolio of SaaS subscriptions, you'll work directly with construction businesses to understand how they operate and help design technology solutions that can materially improve their day-to-day operations.
You'll work closely with Fieldr's leadership, product, design and engineering teams and have direct input into how customer requirements influence the evolution of the platform.
If you enjoy understanding businesses, solving operational problems, working with technology and building long-term customer relationships, we'd like to hear from you.
Apply with your CV and a short introduction explaining your experience with construction, field-service businesses, business software or solution consulting.
