ABOUT THE ROLE

Montessori International College (MIC) is seeking an exceptional, qualified Spanish Specialist Teacher to design and lead our Spanish language program. The position is a 0.8FTE role commencing in January, 2027.

Set on 22 hectares of natural bushland on the Sunshine Coast, MIC offers a vibrant, child-centered educational environment. This role is responsible for delivering engaging, authentic Spanish learning experiences that inspire curiosity and cultural appreciation across our primary and secondary learning communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Independently develop and implement an immersive Spanish language curriculum.

- Create tailored learning experiences for multi-age and multi-ability student groups.

- Monitor, record, and report on student progress while offering constructive feedback.

- Embed interactive language resources and contemporary technology into learning programs.

- Collaborate with classroom Guides and actively participate in College life and cultural events.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

- Relevant Tertiary Teaching Degree.





- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) Registration.

- High level of Spanish language proficiency.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-age learning environments.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong emotional intelligence.

- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to acquire).

- Alignment with or keen interest in the Montessori philosophy.
