Role Description This is a remote, contract role for NDIS Speech Language Pathologist at Life Strengths.

The Speech Language

Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring progress to adjust interventions as needed. The role involves collaborating with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure person-centered, culturally responsive care, and documenting clinical outcomes in line with organizational standards.

The Speech Language





Pathologist may also contribute to education and support for caregivers and community partners to enhance communication and functional outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Speech Therapy and management of Speech and Language Disorders.
- Experience working with Communication Disorders and related functional communication needs.
- Knowledge and clinical competency in assessing and treating Dysphagia.
- Accredited degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent, with current professional registration/licensure as required.
- Experience delivering services remotely via telehealth platforms and digital tools.
- Solid interpersonal, documentation, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to person-centered practice, cultural safety, and trauma-informed care, especially for diverse and vulnerable communities.
- Previous experience in community, disability, mental health, or rehabilitation settings is highly regarded.
