Ipswich

About Us

Artius is a well-established allied health practice situated in Ipswich. We have a great location and a lovely therapy environment in a recently renovated old Queenslander. All rooms have lots of natural sunlight and comfortable furnishings. We have plenty of parking and easy access from the main road.

Artius has a great reputation amongst NDIS support coordinators, GP clinics and schools in the area and receives a steady flow of referrals.

We are now expanding our allied health services and are looking for an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to join our team and help us meet the needs of our growing client base.

You will be supported by an exceptional administration team who do an awesome job at managing our diary, minimising no-shows and filling cancellations, allowing you to focus on providing quality clinical care.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our growing practice and help establish and develop our speech pathology services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Speech Pathologist or a motivated clinician looking to grow their career in a supportive private practice environment.

The role may involve working with children, adolescents and adults across a range of communication and swallowing needs, including clients with NDIS funding and developmental, disability and psychosocial support needs.

Depending on your experience and interests, you may have the opportunity to provide:

- Individualised speech pathology therapy and intervention.
- Support for clients with developmental, communication and disability-related needs.
- Functional communication assessments and recommendations.
- Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) assessment and support, where appropriately qualified.
- Feeding and swallowing assessment and intervention, where appropriately qualified and experienced.
- NDIS-related reports and recommendations.
- Therapy in the clinic, at home, in schools or via telehealth,

where clinically appropriate.
- Collaboration with families, carers, support coordinators, schools, GPs and other health professionals.

Our office is open Monday to Friday during normal business hours. We have capacity for a full-time position but are flexible if you are wanting to work part-time.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology.
- Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- A keen interest in providing quality, client-centred care.
- A commitment to career development, clinical supervision and ongoing growth.
- Solid communication, organisational and report-writing skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.

We are particularly interested in someone with:
- Experience working with NDIS participants.
- An interest in paediatric speech pathology.
- Experience working with children and/or adolescents.
- Experience in developmental, language, communication or psychosocial support services.
- Experience with functional communication assessments and AAC.
- An interest in developing and expanding speech pathology services within a growing practice.

New graduates and experienced clinicians are welcome to apply. Supervision and professional development arrangements can be discussed based on your experience and needs.

What We Offer

- Competitive salary of $85,000–$130,000 + superannuation, depending on experience.
