The RoleAn opportunity has become available for a Speech Pathologist (Child and Youth Mental Health -Continuing Care Team)to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Manage the designated caseload to deliver skilled level speech pathology services
- Provide competent speech pathology services in the assessment and treatment of children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems and disorders
- Work cooperatively and effectively within departmental and multidisciplinary teams and with patients and their carers to provide high quality care
- Collaborate with senior staff, to participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of group programs for consumers that are evidence-based, appropriate for consumers in the community

About youTo be successful in this position you will require:

- A tertiary degree in Speech Pathology
- Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary





- Temporary full time (6 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $3,067.00 - $4,453.50 per fortnight

About UsThe Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) Continuing Care Team (CCT) is a multi-disciplinary, multispecialty team within the Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Services operating across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service to provide multi-specialty mental health intervention to children and young people (0- 18 years).
