Palgrove is a highly regarded Australian seedstock and commercial cattle business with a proud history spanning over 50 years. Known for our commitment to quality genetics and innovative practices, we are seeking a motivated, experienced and well organised Station Hand at our new North Queensland breeding property, “Panhandle” (located approx. 43km west of Collinsville).

About the Role

Your role will include

- All aspects of livestock operations in a backgrounding cattle operation.

- A commitment to safe work practices and valuable animal welfare outcomes

- Rotational grazing and pasture management

- Operating and maintaining farm vehicles and equipment

- Cattle and pasture record keeping utilising Koolcollect, Maia Grazing & Safe Ag Systems

- Maintenance of stock water bores and fencing

- Involvement in completion of significant water & fencing infrastructure projects

- General station duties

- Dedicated and structured professional development program for all employees

About You

We require an excellent team player with a can-do attitude who really loves working with cattle in a calm and confident manner. You need to be:

- Observant and able to complete tasks to a high standard with attention to detail




- A good communicator who can work in a team or on your own

- Organised and tidy

- Fit, healthy and willing to learn

- Licenced to drive a manual car

- Your own working horses will be highly regarded. A yearly allowance is paid for the use of these animals.
