About the role

Steel fixer role in precast manufacturing, responsible for cutting, bending, assembling and tying reinforcement bars for precast panel bar matts.

Hours of Work

2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday

(Saturdays may be required from time to time)

Key responsibilities

- Cut, bend, assemble and tie reinforcement bars for precast panel matts
- Install cast-in items including plate, lifters, grout tubes, ferrules, rebates, etc.
- Tie reinforcement bar to a high standard
- Read and execute precast shop drawings
- Work autonomously when required and in partnership within a team of steel fixers
- Maintain strict adherence to OH&S; policies and procedures
- Communicate professionally and politely with company staff and suppliers

About you

- Precast manufacturing experience preferred, but not essential
- Ability to tie reinforcement bar very well, not just lay mesh sheets
- Able to read and execute precast shop drawings
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to problem solve
- Accountable and able to take direction
- Punctual
- Hold a current driver's license
