Imperial Stone Industries P/L is a Natural Stone Fabricator and Installer of various stone products, with over Thirty Five years of experience in the stone masonry Industry. Our specialty is working with natural stone materials in high-end commercial & residential projects throughout Victoria and Melbourne CBD region.
Introduction & Requirements
Imperial Stone Industries is looking for ( stonemasons,apprentices or experiences in drafting with CAD and working with CNC machinery) in our factory and or on site works. Your daily activities will be based within the factory and mainly consist of the learning current ways in manufacture and installation of fabricated stone products. We are situated in Sunshine North and the required working hours are 7 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday.
To meet the requirements of employment you must have common practical skills in constructive methods and knowing or learning most of the following activities listed bellow;
Activities and Tasks:
- The ability to manufacture, shape, and polish stone materials using pneumatic-water tools
- Some knowledge of different stone materials ( marble, granite, etc )
- The capability of reading and understanding Job tasks and drawings
- Adhere to the rules and standards enforced by WorkSafe Victoria & Imperial Stone Industries SWMS and OHS eg. (Wearing the Correct PPE, Manual Handling, Stone Preparation, using Machinery, Mechanical Lifting Aids, Tools, Etc. all to be conducted in a proper working safe method)
Desirable qualifications which are considerable :
- Bridge Saw Operator
- CNC operator
- Water Jet Operator
- Warehouse Foreman
- Auto-cad Draftsman
- Assembly of Stone Products (Stone-masonry)
- Estimating and Quoting Stone Products
Other aspects and characteristics of employment :
- Good work ethic amongst fellow employees, willing abilities & a can do kind of attitude
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work every day
- Attention to detail in all tasks
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Is willing to perform a variety of tasks throughout the factory and on site if requested
