Paint and Sip Studios is looking for energetic Host Artists to lead our paint-and-sip experiences. This is a unique role combining art instruction, event hosting, and entertainment in a relaxed and social studio environment.

Our Host Artists guide guests through step-by-step acrylic paintings, helping everyone – even complete beginners – leave with artwork they’re proud of.

About the Role

This is a casual position working primarily weekends, with additional weekday shifts during peak seasons (such as school holidays, corporate bookings, and festive periods).

Events take place in our studio locations and occasionally at mobile events.

Host Artists lead painting sessions typically ranging from 10–30 guests and create a welcoming, upbeat environment where creativity and fun come first.

Key Responsibilities

- Event Hosting
- Lead engaging step-by-step painting sessions using acrylic paints
- Guide groups through the painting process in a fun, clear and structured format
- Maintain a lively and welcoming event atmosphere
- Manage timing of the event while ensuring guests feel relaxed and supported

Guest Experience

- Encourage creativity and confidence in guests regardless of skill level
- Provide individual guidance and assistance during sessions
- Help create a positive and memorable experience for all participants

Studio & Event Setup

- Assist with event setup and pack-down
- Prepare painting materials and equipment
- Ensure studio spaces remain clean, organised, and presentation-ready

Operational Support

- Follow studio procedures for events and guest engagement




- Work collaboratively with other studio staff
- Run and assist with mobile events where required

Essential Skills

- Strong painting ability (acrylic painting experience required)
- Confident speaking to groups and giving transparent step-by-step instructions
- Outgoing personality with strong customer engagement skills
- Ability to manage groups in a structured yet fun environment
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills

Personal Qualities

- Friendly, upbeat and confident
- Comfortable hosting and performing in front of groups
- Passion for creativity and helping others enjoy art
- Reliable and skilled

Requirements

- Working With Children Check
- Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (for mobile events)
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to transport an Artist Kit when required
- Smartphone with ad free music streaming capability for event playlists
