Reporting to the Mobile Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the development and execution of the work management process by providing leadership and guidance to the Planning, Reliability teams.
The Superintendent
Planning & Reliability is responsible for all aspects of planned work, including scoping, planning, and resourcing. Additionally, you will be accountable for driving Business Improvement initiatives and fostering the ongoing development and mentorship of the broader Planning & Reliability teams with a strong focus on best for business improvement programmes.
This role will be offered as a FIFO chance from/to Australia working on a 16/12-day roster.
Responsibilities
- Leading and executing planning and reliability tasks, developing and mentoring team members in their roles and CMMS (Pronto) usage, and overseeing weekly maintenance scheduling to ensure accuracy and resource availability.
- Providing planning advice, managing maintenance costs, and supporting administrative functions.
- Managing plant equipment data in the CMMS, producing reports for leadership, fostering stakeholder partnerships, and developing long-term maintenance and asset management plans & budgets.
- Focus on improving CMMS data integrity, maintenance strategies, and work management KPIs, managing the ANSI process, and engaging with OEMs to enhance and implement the established maintenance strategy.
- Strategic support function to ensure the effective execution of works to increase the overall reliability of the fleet.
Qualifications
About You
Qualifications You must be an experienced professional with excellent technical problem solving,
frontline leadership and time management skills, holding the following qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Heavy Fitter Trade Qualification highly regarded.
- Mobile plant maintenance experience is essential.
- Proven experience working in an open-pit mining or heavy vehicle maintenance environment.
- Strong leadership experience in maintenance planning, reliability, or engineering within mining or heavy industry.
- Expert capability in planning and reliability applications and process.
- Experience in CMMS preferably Pronto.
- Experience in data management of CMMS Systems.
- Expert proficiency in reporting and data extraction tools and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high volume of data in a CMMS System.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and track maintenance forecasts to a high compliance.
