About the Role: Love solving problems, coordinating competing priorities, and making things happen? Join our Surgery Intake team and play a vital role in supporting elective surgery services across Canberra Health Services. As a Surgery Access Officer, you will be responsible for liaising and coordinating with Elective Surgery Liaison Nurses to manage the Elective Surgery Waiting List for Canberra Hospital. You will assist in the training and professional development of staff in training or relief positions, ensure effective communication between Surgery Intake and Bookings and key stakeholders, promote high-quality customer service, and champion organisational values.

Our ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service. You will possess sound knowledge of documented work practices, procedures, guidelines, and instructions, along with the ability to interpret legislation, regulations, and other guideline materials. You will be adaptable and flexible, with excellent communication, liaison, and negotiation skills.

As a collaborative team player, you will contribute to a positive team culture and can analyse data and compile statistical information.
