Tanami is one of Australia's most remote and significant underground gold mines, located deep in the Tanami Desert of the Northern Territory. Your Impact
As a Supervisor Engineering Mining, you'll support the successful delivery of Cadia Block Caves projects by coordinating engineering deliverables, technical handovers, and planning interfaces across Operations, Technical Services, and Studies teams. You'll play a key role in ensuring critical cave infrastructure and production projects are execution-ready and aligned for protected delivery.
As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Coordinate technical handovers between Studies, Projects, Technical Services, and Operations teams to ensure engineering work is ready for execution.
- Act as the primary engineering interface supporting the transition of project and study outcomes into operational implementation.
- Support planning, scheduling, and forecasting activities that enable safe and efficient cave ramp-up and project execution.
- Deliver mine designs and engineering outputs for underground development and production drilling and blasting activities.
- Collaborate with operational, technical, and project stakeholders to identify risks, improve delivery outcomes, and optimize engineering processes.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering and a current C-Class Driver's Licence.
- Considerable experience in underground metalliferous mining environments.
- Experience using mine planning and design software such as Deswik.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Strong project management, risk management, and communication skills.
Your Work Environment
- Residential role based at Cadia Operations near Orange, NSW. Relocation assistance is provided.
- 5/2 roster or 9-day fortnight work schedule.
- Working closely with Operations, Technical Services, Studies, and Project teams.
