We have an exciting opportunity to join the Supply Chain team on a 12 month contact as a Supply Planner. Reporting to the Supply Chain Analyst, the Supply Planner is responsible for inventory management & planning, ensuring the availability of finished goods & materials to meet the aligned demand plan and budgeted inventory level targets. This includes ordering of imported finished goods, locally manufactured goods & materials required for our local plant while collecting and distributing information to suppliers and internal stakeholders through regular forecasts and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the supply planning cycle utilising MRP & action where required, to ensure inventory availability
- Generate, review and maintain Production Orders (PRO), Purchase Orders (PO) & Transfer Orders (TO) in line with MRP suggestions
- Reporting and controlling on Out of Stock, Overstocks,
MLOR, Damages, Quarantine & SLOB in support of optimum inventory levels management
- Production planning within capacity & requirements constraints
- Identify supply risks based on demand plan to enable corrective actions with Demand Planning, Customer Service & Sales
- Co-ordinate any external manufacturing requirements liaising with nominated co-packers.
- Liaise with 3PL ensuring data, stock integrity and accuracy
- Monitor & resolve any ERP interface errors caused by data mis-alignments
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Solid experience in Supply planning and managing the end-to-end supply cycle with demonstrated experience using ERP
- Supply Chain qualifications and/or experience working in FMCG will be highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build positive rapport with cross functional and external stakeholders
- Process driven with strong analytical skills to be able to identify inaccuracies in reporting
- Excellent communication skills with ability to escalate issues when required
- Strong tenacity and resilience with ability to work under pressure in a continuously changing supply chain environment
