Location: Croydon, VIC

Hours: Wednesdays & Saturdays & Sundays | 3:00 PM - 6:00PM. Potentially extra shifts adding on in the future

Pay Rate: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, reliable and experienced Support Worker to provide support to a 1-year-old child in a safe, nurturing and family-focused environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing age-appropriate care and support while encouraging the child's development, independence, wellbeing and participation in daily activities.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and is passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities may include

- Providing safe, attentive and caring support to the child
- Assisting with age-appropriate daily activities and routines
- Supporting the child's physical, social and emotional development
- Engaging the child in play, sensory activities, reading, music and other age-appropriate activities
- Assisting with feeding and meal routines as required
- Assisting with personal care, including nappy changes and hygiene
- Supporting sleep and rest routines as directed by the family
- Taking the child for appropriate outdoor activities, walks or community activities when required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and child-friendly environment
- Following the child's individual care and support plan
- Communicating appropriately with parents/family members regarding the child's daily activities, wellbeing and any concerns
- Maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality




- Following all relevant workplace health, safety and child-safety requirements
- Completing any required documentation or progress notes accurately

About You: We are looking for someone who is:

- Caring, patient and compassionate
- Reliable, responsible and punctual
- Comfortable working with a 1-year-old child
- Experienced in childcare, disability support, early childhood education or a similar role
- Able to communicate respectfully and professionally with children and their families
- Attentive to the child's safety and wellbeing
- Patient and calm when responding to the needs of a young child
- Able to follow instructions and established routines
- Comfortable working independently when required
- Committed to providing respectful and high-quality support

Essential Requirements: The successful applicant will be required to have:

- Preferably previous experience working with young children, particularly infants or toddlers
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, if applicable to the role
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Relevant childcare, Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or Early Childhood qualification is highly regarded
- The legal right to work in Australia
- Good communication skills




- A commitment to child safety and safeguarding
- ABN registered

A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle would be an advantage if transport of the child is required. What We Offer
