About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive System Administrator to join our ICT team. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software across a range of users.

This role is ideal for an IT qualified with strong technical expertise and a passion for supporting education in a busy school environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain the school’s ICT systems, servers, networks, and cloud services (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Workspace).
- Manage and support end-user devices including Windows, macOS, iPads, and Chromebooks.
- Managing and supporting Apple devices (macOS/iOS) in an education environment essential.
- Oversee network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Ensure system security, backups, disaster recovery, and data protection measures are in place and effective.
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff and students, escalating complex issues where required.
- Plan, implement, and manage ICT projects such as system upgrades, deployments, and new technologies.
- Monitor and maintain ICT asset registers, software licensing, and lifecycle management.
- Work collaboratively with school leadership and teaching staff to ensure ICT aligns with educational needs.
- Maintain system documentation, policies, and procedures.





Skills & Experience

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a System Administrator or similar IT infrastructure role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, SharePoint).
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education and Chromebook management.
- Networking knowledge (VLANs, Wi-Fi, switching, routing, firewalls) – Cisco/CCNA highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of IT security, backups, and compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, Apple, Google) highly valued.

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent industry certifications.
- Current Working With Children Check (mandatory).

Pay: $41.00 – $46.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
