About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of complex engineering programs within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment. This role is responsible for managing engineering scope, schedule, budget, risk, and team performance while ensuring strong governance and compliance outcomes.

Depending on project requirements, the role may involve leading design projects, supporting maintenance programs, or managing a specialist engineering discipline.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to successfully deliver project outcomes.
- Manage engineering scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with governance, quality, and safety requirements.
- Oversee subcontractors and external engineering resources.
- Develop project recovery strategies where required.
- Mentor, coach, and develop engineering personnel.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver clear and accurate project reporting.

Skills & Experience

- Degree qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Formal project management and/or systems engineering qualifications desirable.
- Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects in defence, maritime, aerospace, infrastructure, mining, or similarly regulated industries.
- Strong project management and leadership capability.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Solid understanding of engineering governance, configuration management, safety, and lifecycle management.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.




- Experience managing suppliers and subcontractors.

Additional Requirements
