Position

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Fire Technician / Commercial Electrician to join the Sydney team.

This is a hands-on role working across a variety of commercial projects, carrying out installation, maintenance, testing, fault-finding and commissioning of fire detection systems.

Experience programming fire alarm panels would be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right candidate.

Responsibilities will include:

- Installing, testing, servicing and maintaining fire detection and alarm systems.
- Fault-finding and diagnosing issues across commercial fire systems.
- Programming and commissioning fire indicator panels where experienced.
- Interpreting electrical drawings, plans and technical documentation.
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with Australian Standards including AS 1670 and AS 1851.
- Working across commercial, healthcare, education, aged care and multi-residential projects.
- Completing service documentation and maintaining a solid focus on safety and quality.





Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a fully licensed electrician with previous experience working on commercial fire detection systems. You will have a strong electrical background, good fault-finding skills and be comfortable working independently across customer sites.

Experience programming fire indicator panels would be advantageous, however the business is willing to train the right electrician who has solid fire detection experience.

The key attributes of an ideal candidate would include:

- Current NSW Electrical Licence.
- Previous experience installing, servicing or maintaining commercial fire detection systems.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Fire alarm and detection experience is essential.
- Experience with Ampac, Pertronic, Notifier or similar panels would be advantageous.
- Fire panel programming experience highly regarded but not essential.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Understanding of Australian Standards and compliance requirements.
- Current manual driver's licence, White Card and EWP licence.
