Wangara MG is seeking a qualified and motivated Automotive Technician to join our Service Department.

As part of Regent Motors Group, Wangara MG offers the opportunity to work within a supportive dealership environment backed by a growing automotive group.

The Role

You will carry out servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs while ensuring all work meets manufacturer requirements, dealership procedures and safety standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Diagnosing engine, mechanical and vehicle performance issues

- Completing scheduled servicing, maintenance and warranty repairs

- Repairing or replacing engines, transmissions, suspension systems and other mechanical components

- Test-driving vehicles and completing final quality inspections

- Accurately documenting completed work and any additional repairs required

- Ordering parts required for servicing and warranty work

- Maintaining current knowledge of MG vehicles and automotive technology

- Providing guidance and support to apprentice technicians

- Maintaining tools, equipment and a safe working environment

- Delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- A recognised automotive trade qualification,



such as a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

- Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic ability

- Previous post-trade experience, preferably within a dealership environment

- The ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Good communication and time-management skills

- A customer-focused and qualified approach

- A current driver’s licence

- The ability to provide or obtain a National Police Clearance
