About the Opportunity

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an appropriately qualified and experienced HSE Coordinator to join our team, based in either our Perth or Queensland office.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, this role provides technical, systems and coordination support across the Health, Safety and Environment function.

You will work closely with our HSE and operational teams to ensure DDH1's HSE systems and framework are effectively managed, maintained and continuously improved.

The role provides exposure across HSE systems, incident management and investigation, auditing and assurance, critical risk management, reporting and operational support.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

HSE Framework

- Assist in the development and maintenance of HSE system documentation, including procedures, forms and templates.
- Work with Operations to review and maintain Safe Work Instructions.
- Assist in the development of monthly Toolbox Topics.
- Coordinate HSE improvement initiatives and track agreed actions through to completion.

Incident Management & Investigation

- Support the HSE Manager and HSE Advisors with incident investigations, including ICAM investigations where required.
- Review incident investigations for completeness, quality and consistency before escalation to the HSE Manager.




- Monitor investigation and corrective action close-out and escalate overdue or ineffective actions.
- Support the communication and implementation of incident learnings across the business.
- Analyse incident information to identify recurring trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.

Auditing & Assurance

- Coordinate DDH1's HSE audit, inspection and assurance schedules.
- Monitor completion against planned schedules and report compliance to the HSE Manager.
- Support internal, external ISO and client audits, including preparation of evidence and documentation.
- Assist with the review and development of audits and inspections to ensure alignment with HSE legislative requirements.

Critical Risk Management

- Coordinate Critical Risk Control Confirmation and assurance activities.
- Assist with system and control design reviews and track identified gaps through to resolution.
- Support Operations to ensure critical controls are understood, implemented and verified.

HSE Systems & Reporting

- Provide HSE platform support and guidance to HSE Advisors and operational personnel.
- Coordinate monthly HSE data and reporting requirements.
- Analyse HSE performance data and trends and provide information to support HSE Manager reporting.

Operational HSE Support

- Provide technical and systems support to HSE Advisors.
- Support preparation for client HSE meetings and information requests.




- Undertake site visits as required to support assurance activities, investigations and the implementation of HSE initiatives.

About You

You will be an experienced HSE professional with a practical approach to safety and the ability to work effectively across both corporate and operational environments.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

- A minimum Diploma-level qualification in Work Health and Safety/HSE.
- Demonstrated experience as an HSE Advisor, HSE Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Experience within drilling, mining, resources or another high-risk operational environment.
- Working knowledge of WHS legislation and HSE management systems.
- Understanding of incident investigation and risk management methodologies, with ICAM experience or training highly regarded.
- Experience with HSE auditing, inspections and assurance activities.
- Strong Microsoft Office and HSE information system skills.
- Robust organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships with operational leaders, field personnel and other stakeholders.
- A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn and continuously improve.
- An understanding of drilling operations will be highly regarded.
- A current driver's licence.

You will also need to be comfortable undertaking travel to operational and remote sites as required.
